Does County Help ALL private Developers? Or Just Certain ones? |

This morning at approx 9:30am a county dump truck delivered two black tile approx 30in in diameter to the English Mtn. Overlook site of Kenneth Whaley and Bill Evans. See attached pictures. I'm sure it is for the repair of the county rd that their run off caused damage to. But shouldn't the developer be responsible for this cost and not the county??

Sevier County officials are assisting the development of private property above Thomas Cross Road. Tragically we have plenty of properties that have been turned into subdivisions in this county that sit vacant. Why, then, does our county leaders deem it appropriate to aid in the development of yet another subdivision? Do all subdivision developments benefit from taxpayer funding? Is this property just another link in the chain of corruption within Sevier County?
The following pictures show that the county delivered tiles to this private project. Do all County Commission members get these freebies? By the way, this particular development was one of many that were backlogged on court dockets in dispute.
Ms Thomas won her case; so the development was stopped. But Sevier County citizens still footed the bill on a road tile, its delivery, and it’s placement for a road that goes nowhere. Who is allowing this waste to occur? |
